Recently, a record number of consumer HD camcorders have burst onto the scene. As a superior HD camcorder, JVC Everio GZ-HD7 is recognised for its nice manual features, high-quality audio and good quality of low-light video. As a JVC GZ-HD7 owner, I always meet some friends who have the head issue of editing JVC GZ-HD7 TOD on Avid Media Composer, iMovie, Final Cut and some other editing software.

Today, I meet a guy who is also annoyed this problem on Facebook, and in the process of our chatting, I share my experience of converting and editing TOD files with a program Aunsoft TOD Video Converter for Mac. So now I am here to share my experience of converting and editing JVC GZ-HD7 TOD footage with Mac Aunsoft Video Converter in a guide way.

Firstly, connect JVC GZ-HD7 to Macbook or iMac with USB Cable and transfer recorded TOD footage to hard drive.

Step 1, Import 1080i TOD files to Aunsoft TOD Converter for Mac.(Download TOD Video Converter for Mac)Please take it easy, it is a safe program free of virus.
You can drag the specified TOD files to this software directly or click “Add” button to load this file.

Step 2, Choose H.264 MOV as the output video format.
Choose MOV (AVC) (.mov) from “Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas” section as the output video format.And you are free to place converted video files on any folder as long as you click the “FoldeR” icon.

Step 3, Edit 1080i TOD files.
The editing interface will come out by cliking the “Editor” button on the menu bar and some editing options will be listed as “Crop”, “Trim”, “Watermark” and “Effect”. And an option of deinterlacing lies in the “Effect” section, which allows you to remove interlacing images by ticking the checkbox of “Deinterlacing”

Step 4: Merge & convert.
At the bottom of interface, the checkbox of “Merge into one file” can be ticked to join several loaded TOD files into big one. And then click the big button “Convert”, this JVC GZ-HD7 TOD to H.264 MOV conversion  will be started.
